Bike touring the Dalmatian Coast, from Istra to Dubrovnik

Hello Andro,

We are back in Virginia after a wonderful time in Croatia. We really loved the country, vistas, sea and people and hope that one day we will be able to return. Thank you for all of your assistance and your professionalism in all matters. There is no doubt that the error was ours regarding the pick up date in Mali Ston. I'm not sure how it happened but we very much appreciated your flexibility and willingness to make it work for us. We also loved your tip for the final day of riding to Mali Ston. After the long hill out of Orebic the ride through the tunnel at Potomje to Trstenik was perfect. We had a nice swim in Trsenik, lunch at the winery and then onto Mali Ston.

All of us would like to write a recommendation of your services. Where would be the best place to post our comments...on your web site? Trip Advisor (what category?) or is their some other biking site that would be helpful?

If there is any way that we can be of help to you please don't hesitate to ask...and of course if you come to the U.S. and visit Washington let us know and we will definitely give you a tour (or a transfer!).

Hope the season is good for you and that the weather is perfect (as it was for us on the islands). Give our best to Ivan!

Best regards,
Sue and Rich

Our fantastic trip

Dear "Snjezana ",

I certainly felt bad not saying good by to you Andro, Your Mom and all the gang. We certainly appreciate all the advice , help, lounge space, box storage, transportation, reservations, and all the other help you gave all nine of us. Everything could not have been better. If you ever have anyone ask for a reference please have them give me a call send an email or whatever works for you. I now see why everyone I have spoken to about Croatia likes Split. The short trip to Dubrovnik answered that question. The crowds, the roads, the fast pace do not let anyone traveling that way have the full appreciation of the scenery , history and the sheer enjoyment of meeting the people
of Croatia. The bike puts everything in the true perspective.
Thank you all for making our trip so special and if any of you are in the US and nearby ,
let me know.

Norman

Cheryl and her bike trip in Croatia

Snjezana,

We had a wonderful trip! Thank you all for everything. The bikes worked great, and we appreciate the time you spent getting them set up and fitted for us. The itinerary was excellent; we really enjoyed every place we went, and the ferry connections all worked out beautifully. Our only suggestion would be to improve the quality of the maps; even in hard copy, they were difficult to read and follow. We did see other bikers who had nice, full-color maps with more detail, so I’m sure you would be able to find sources for upgrading there. We also found that the mileages were off on the routes on Brac—I’m sorry, I don’t remember exactly what they were, but I think the first day’s recommended ride was 10 km longer than the itinerary said. You might want to check those mileages out.

We have recommended your company to friends without hesitation. You run an excellent company. We also were very happy with the partners that you recommended—the rafting company, Hvar Adventures, and the private boat Frane.

We used the link you sent for a couple of our accommodations but booked most of our lodging on recommendations from Rick Steves (a U.S. travel writer we have come to trust) and through other internet sites that I found in my own search. All of our accommodations were good.

Most of the food recommendations were also very good. Our best meal of the trip was at the hotel you recommended in Mali Ston—the seafood there was incredible.

I can’t think of a thing we would have done differently.

Well, maybe if you could have cooled it off a little, that would have been good 

Best of luck with the new baby on the way.

Thank you again for a truly awesome vacation.

Cheryl
Hello Snjezana!

Sorry for the delayed response! We went to Italy for 2 weeks after Croatia and so just got home. We enjoyed Italy but really missed the bikes!
Since being home, I can't stop talking about our cycling experience. Everyone is so impressed and you might expect to see more Canadians next season. :)
We are both really so happy with this experience. It exceeded our expectations. We met a few cyclists along the way who had their own bikes (from Europe or N. America) and were jealous of our maps and suggested routes because they kept going on roads that were too busy or didn’t know where the big hills were. We were very grateful for all the information.
The whole folder of information was so enjoyable to read (and of course so useful). Very impressive.
Thanks again for everything. We had such a great time.

Argentinian group renting mountain bikes in Split, drop off Dubrovnik
